Our Wineries

  • Masia De La Vinya

Masia De La Vinya is one of our absolute favorite (if not the favorite) wineries in Temecula.

Temecula has two basic “wine trails”. Rancho Road is the larger wine trail where the older, larger, and more well known wineries are located. The De Portola trail is much smaller and has more boutique, less commercial wineries. Masia is located towards the top of De Portola trail. It doesn’t have vast panoramic views like, say, Callaway Winery, but it sits on a perfectly sized hill that just feels right and overlooks their modest vineyard. In the summer there is a reliable breeze that flows across the property in the early afternoon. That is more important than it sounds.

There is only one structure on the property and it was the first owners home. We love a good conversion, obviously ;). The original owners named the winery “Masia De Ya Bar” and sold to the current owner Bob back in 2008 (Bob is a very interesting man. He raced rally cars as a career before buying the winery on a trip out to SoCal one summer).

The wine here is Spanish style.

Masia De La Vinya has a great blend of strong wine, charming ambience, and most notably an emphasis on customers service. This is our cornerstone winery and we can't recommend it enough!

  • Lorenzi Estates

Lorenzi Estates has us excited about wine all over again. The owners really do place a lot of emphasis on the quality of their wine. Several of their cabernets have been top ranked along with some big names out of the Napa Valley region. I often see the owners and the servers taking time in the middle of a busy weekend to compare a new intriguing wine they have been recommended and comparing it to their own to learn, compare, and continue honing their process.

There is an emphasis on more aged wines picked towards the end of harvest to aid in the dissipation of the sulfites that can make the most committed vino enthusiasts wary of a potential hangover. I have personally tested the wine by enjoying very large amounts of it in one evening (what a difficult job I have!) and was truly surprised in my feeling of wellness the next day.

Located between the two primary wine trailers of Rancho and De Portola, Lorenzi is nestled in some hills down a serious dirt road (Monte De Oro). But don’t let that put you off. You can now access the winery with a newly paved modern road from the Rancho side.

We are excited to see what the future holds for Lorenzi and our partnership together!

  • Danza Del Sol

Danza Del Sol is a classic. We are gathering our photos and writing up a profile and will share soon!
